For me it was Chimchar. As I said before, I love Fire types. Plus Infernape did help me beat Crasher Wake the first go around before I started using Luxray.

I liked every one of these starters, but I chose turtwig first and liked him more slightly.

Torterra is super bulky and gets super powerful attacks for in game.
